Cancellation and Refund Policy
This policy sets out the general rules governing requests to cancel services and refund amounts paid to Global Path Investment for company formation, licensing, visa, residence, and other investment and administrative services, in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable in the Sultanate of Oman and without prejudice to either party's statutory rights.

1. Requesting cancellation
A client may request cancellation at any time by sending written notice to the company through the following approved channels:
Email: info@gpioman.com
Telephone / WhatsApp: +96893343341
The cancellation request must include:
- Client name.
- Order or invoice number.
- Name of the service concerned.
- Reason for cancellation, if any.
- Account or payment method details.
The date on which the company receives the written request is the date used to begin cancellation procedures. Ceasing communication or failing to provide documents does not constitute a formal cancellation request.
2. Non-refundable amounts
Subject to the laws applicable in Oman, the following amounts are non-refundable once paid or due:
- Government fees paid or payable to ministries, authorities, municipalities, free zones or any official body.
- Commercial registration, licence, approval, visa and residence fees.
- Translation, attestation, notarisation, embassy and consular fees.
- Bank, payment gateway, money transfer and intermediary fees.
- Amounts paid to external service providers at the client's request or with their approval.
- Global Path Investment's fees for work completed or started before receipt of the cancellation request.
Government or third-party fees that have not actually been paid or disbursed are not included in non-refundable amounts.
3. Calculating service fees on cancellation
If the client requests cancellation without a breach by the company, Global Path Investment's fees due are calculated according to the stage of work completed by the cancellation date, as follows:
| Order stage at cancellation | Percentage of service fees due |
|---|---|
| Before any execution work begins | 0% |
| Initial consultation and application review | 15% |
| Determining the legal structure, activities and requirements | 30% |
| Preparing or reviewing documents and assembling the file | 50% |
| Preparing applications or forms and starting coordination with authorities | 65% |
| Submitting the application to the competent authority | 80% |
| Issuance of the licence or registration, or completion of the core service | 100% |
These percentages apply only to Global Path Investment's fees and exclude government and third-party fees.
Where a service comprises several independent parts or stages, each part may be calculated separately as set out in the approved quotation or contract.
4. Calculating the refund
The refund is calculated using the following formula:
Refund = total amount paid − service fees due − government fees paid − third-party costs paid − actual transfer or payment gateway fees.
Service fees due are calculated as follows:
Service fees due = total Global Path Investment fees × percentage for the completed stage.
Value added tax, if any, is applied in accordance with Oman's tax laws.
5. Illustrative example
If the total amount paid is OMR 1,000, broken down as follows:
- Global Path Investment fees: OMR 600.
- Government fees: OMR 300.
- Translation and attestation: OMR 100.
And cancellation takes place after the file has been prepared but before submission to the competent authority (50%):
- Fees due: 600 × 50% = OMR 300.
- Government fees paid: OMR 300.
- Translation and attestation: OMR 100.
- Total deductions: OMR 700.
- Refund: OMR 300.
If the government fees have not actually been paid, the calculation is adjusted to reflect only the amounts actually paid.
6. Orders halted because of the client
If the client does not provide the required documents, information or approvals, the company will notify them to supply the missing items.
If there is no response within 30 days, the company may suspend the order. If the lack of response continues for 90 days, the company may close the order and calculate its fees according to the completed stage.
The order may be reopened later, subject to updated prices, requirements or scope of work according to the circumstances at the time of reopening.
7. Rejection by the competent authorities
The parties acknowledge that accepting or rejecting applications falls within the discretion of government and regulatory authorities in Oman.
If an application is rejected for reasons not attributable to a direct error by the company:
- Government and third-party fees are non-refundable.
- The company's fees are calculated for work completed.
- Any unused amounts are settled according to the actual circumstances.
If rejection is proven to result from a direct professional error by the company, it will, where possible, repeat the affected part at no additional charge, or refund the fees for that part if the error cannot be corrected, without prejudice to the laws applicable in Oman.
8. Cancellation by the company
Global Path Investment may suspend or cancel services in the following cases:
- The client provides incorrect or misleading information or documents.
- The client requests work contrary to applicable laws or regulations.
- Statutory verification or compliance requirements cannot be completed.
- The service is misused or company staff are treated inappropriately.
- Amounts due are not paid on time.
In such cases, any unused amounts are refunded after deducting fees for work completed and actual costs paid.
9. Failure by the company to provide the service
If the company fails to perform the agreed service for reasons attributable to it, the client may, in accordance with the laws applicable in Oman, request one of the following:
- Correct performance of the service again at no additional charge; or
- A refund for the part not performed or performed incorrectly; or
- A full refund of service fees if work has not begun or the service's essential purpose cannot be achieved.
10. Refund timeframe
Refunds are processed within no more than 14 working days from approval of the request, using the original payment method where possible.
Banks or payment providers may take additional time to display the amount in the client's account. The client bears actual transfer fees imposed by banks or intermediaries, unless the refund results from an error by the company.
11. Priority of contracts and quotations
Approved quotations and signed contracts are the principal reference governing the parties' relationship and must specify:
- Global Path Investment's fees.
- Estimated government fees.
- Third-party costs.
- Execution and payment stages.
- Any specific cancellation or refund terms.
In the event of a conflict, the approved contract or quotation prevails, provided that it does not contravene mandatory laws or regulations in Oman.
